The House of Slaves in Gorée, Senegal

Foreword

The Island of Gorée, in Senegal

Figure 1: The Island of Gorée, in Senegal

There is much controversy surrounding the island of Gorée, located at 3 km from Dakar, in Senegal (see figure 1), regarding the slavery trade that occurred on the island. Some say that only several hundred slaves came through Gore, while others maintain that tens of thousands were routed overseas, via this island. Many facts support both sides. In this research, I do not side with either position.

My work is strictly on the point of view of Geobiology, my findings revealed by my pendulum and graphs.

Background

Though there’s no consensus on just how many human captives passed through the island, Gorée remained deeply connected to human enslavement, from 1536 until 1848, when the French abolished the practice, although it continued for some time, thereafter.

My first visit to the island, was back in October 2019, while traveling with my wife. While there, we visited the House of Slaves (in French: La Maison  des Esclaves). After the visit, I was very disturbed by what I saw and by the stories told by the guide. I promised myself to return and look into this. In January we made another trip to Gorée, to research and document my findings. A big help was provided by Mr. Eloi Coly, the present conservator of the House.

La Maison des Esclaves

Before the abolition of slavery, there were dozens of houses in Gorée, where African captives were held before being shipped off to the New World. The House of Slaves serves as a tragic focal point for more than three centuries of suffering. Dating from the 1780s, the building is the oldest one on the island, and easily its most stirring. The split-level house has a curving, twin staircase leading to the upper floor where the landowners resided (see figures 2 and 3). Displays of iron shackles, muskets and other artifacts bring the horrors of the past, to life  (see figure 4). On the lower level are tiny, dimly lit chambers that served as holding cells (see figures 5, 6 and 7). A ‘doorway to nowhere’ connected the dungeon-like quarters to the sea as a final embarkation point for innocent men, women and children who were being taken from their homeland, forever (see figure 8).

Following its construction in 1776, the House of Slaves became a holding center for African slaves to be exported. For a period, the House was owned by an Afro-French woman (Anna Colas Pépin), who owned several ships and participated in the slave trade. Conditions in the building were harrowing, with many of the imprisoned perishing before they reached the ships. Captured slaves “were imprisoned in dark, airless cells”, and “spent days shackled to the floor, their backs against the walls, unable to move. Families were separated both at the House – with men, women, and children being held in separate quarters – as well as after boarding the ships, since most of them were not sent to the same locations. Young girls, in particular, were held separately from the rest of the imprisoned, being “paraded in the courtyard so that the traders and masters could choose them for sex”; if they became pregnant, they were allowed to remain on the island until they gave birth. Converted into a museum and memorial in 1962, the House of Slaves now stands as a testament to the human suffering and devastation caused by the slave trade.

My findings

I used a pendulum and graphs to make the following approximate measurements. For a definition of the various parameters measured, refer to Appendix A. The indication kB refers to an energy level, ie: kilo Bovis (a unit of energy, named after Antoine Bovis).

Total slaves who died in the House of Slaves from 1780 until 1848: 9000

Total slaves from the House of Slaves who perished on the way to America: 51,000.

From 1536 until 1848 for all 39 slave houses on Gore: 370,000 slaves died.

Altogether environ 15 million were sent to America alone.

Some facts and figures on the House of Slaves:

Energy level today: (-) 28 kB                                            Back in 1800: (-) 240 kB

Negative influence due to underground currents: 40%

Negative influence due to underground faults: 15 % + (1) fault

Negative influence due to Cosmo-telluric chimneys (CCT) today: 25% + (3) CCT

                                                                                                Back in 1800: 90% + (9) CCT

Negative influence due to black energy: 100%

Negative influence due to souls today: 225                    Back in 1800: 830

Harmonizing the House

The harmonization process was done remotely from Dakar.

After neutralizing the negative effects due to underground water and faults: (+) 9 kB

After neutralizing the negative effects due CCTs: (+) 22 kB

After performing a ceremony as usually done for houses: (+) 70 kB

How do we know the harmonization was successful?

Prior to doing a clearing process and while visiting the House, I asked to see the night watchman, a Mr Christian D. I asked him if during the night he heard or felt something. He replied that during the night he hears noises, sometimes feels cold when something comes close and that he also sees visions passing by. Many times his name is called out.

The next day, I called Christian after having done the clearing and when I asked if he heard or saw anything the night before. He replied that he had not.

I also asked the conservator of the House, Mr. Coly and he said that he felt a better atmosphere now.

HOUSE OF SLAVES ENERGY LEVELS

There are several factors involved with the energy level, measured for the entire house and for each room. See figures 9 and 10.

Rez-de-chaussée de la Maison

Figure 9: Ground level of the House

Premier étage de la Maison

Figure 10: First Floor of the House

The level depends on parameters such as underground currents and faults, as well as non-physical elements, such as black energy, bad thoughts, souls, etc.. Refer to tables 1 and 2. However, in the measurements made and shown in table 1, there were some peculiarities observed:

Space 111 (cell reserved for young women) – the original level was very low (-)34 kB

Three other areas were also distinguished by their low level after doing the ceremony. Whereas the levels obtained for most areas of the House were from (+)70 down to (+)55 kB, certain places had much lower levels:

Area 103 (Door of No-Return corridor) – energy level was (+)45 kB

Cell 118 (lockdown for men) – energy level was (+)45 kB

Closets 124 / 125 (the cells under the curved steps) – energy level was (+)35 kB

The question I posed myself was: “what could make this level so low?”

The answer was “suffering”. Thus I took measures for these places in % of suffering. The results:

Space 111 (cell reserved for young women) – 35%

Area 103 (Door of No-Return corridor) – 70%

Cell 118 (lockdown for men) – 90%

Closets 124 / 125 (the cells under the curved steps) – 90%

The above areas were corrected mentally, with good results.

Gore Island

Having done the House of Slaves, I pursued the research and the work for the entire island of Gorée. Due to the large size of the island, I split the area into four sectors (see figure 11). Each sector was dealt with individually, with the findings and results indicated in table 3.

APPENDIX A

DEFINITION OF MEASURED PARAMETERS

Vibration rate: energy level, measured with energy units established by Antoine Bovis. A neutral place on Earth vibrates at 16,000 B units (Bovis). Less than this value, the place takes energy from the person, animal or plant. Above this value the place is positive or gives energy. Usually when I finish the harmonization of a locality or a house, I get 60,000 B.

Black energy: kinds of negative energies, such as:

  •  Black magic
  •  Evil eye
  •  Curses
  •  Black voodoo

Underground water currents: the biggest geopathic problem. Currents are the main cause of cancer and other serious illnesses. In my work in Abidjan, all the houses I worked on had a high percentage of negative energy due to water currents. The symptoms experienced are:

  1. Fatigue, insomnia, lack of energy
  2. Reaction of the endocrine glands (thyroid, thymus, genital glands)
  3. The disease (asthma, eczema, sinusitis, cancer).

Cosmo Telluric Chimneys: They are invisible to most people, but still, they exist. In houses, they are negative, while in places of worship, they are positive. Their purpose is to cleanse the Earth of all the negative energies which are mainly created by man. Unfortunately for us, they are placed where we are (bedroom, living room, dining room, office, etc.). There, they pump us energy when we sleep.

Souls: it’s clear. When a person dies, their soul must leave the body and leave our earthly plane. For a number of reasons, they can be blocked in our dimension.
